| IMPRESSION -- PARIS The impressionist concern for how atmosphere and light can be expressed in paint on a canvas led me to pair these two images of Paris with a detail of one of Claude Monet's enormous waterlily paintings from l'Orangerie. The title of this page is a play on the name of the painting that gave the movement it's name, Impression - - Sunrise, which you can see at the Musee Marmatton in the 16e.
